I’ve been thinking about what I could share with you that would be of value in your day to day life.  There must be a purpose in the experiences I’ve had that can benefit others.  One of the most important things I’ve learned more deeply this year is the importance of true gratitude.  We cannot expect to receive what we desire if we don’t recognize what we already have.  I’ve experimented on a recommendation from Rhonda Byrne in her book called “The Magic” and started the process of writing 10 things that I am grateful for, and why I’m grateful for them, each morning.  Interestingly enough, starting the day focusing on the good in my life has had a greater impact that I realized.  Most significantly it’s the days when I haven’t written my list that I’ve noticed the greatest difference.  I’ve had a couple of Sundays where I shouldn’t have had difficulty remembering but somehow I didn’t and those have been stand-out difficult days.  My attitude has been poor, I’m angry, less likely to feel any spiritual connection and more easily find all that’s wrong in my life.  Later in the day when I’m really tired of feeling so down I remember what I’ve missed and that’s my gratitude and sure enough, that’s the difference.  I even have masking tape with words written on it, taped across my water bottles, “100% gratitude for abundance”, to remind me,  and using the energy within water, to place this recognition on my heart, in my brain and in my mind.  Gratitude, it’s a gift that cannot be over-given, over-recognized or over-used.  Now, energy in water, that’s another interesting conversation…
